Pet Problems

I was carpet cleaning in Wigan yesterday for a very nice lady who'd had a bit of a problem with a puppy. Although the puppy was lovely it had had a few accidents here and there on the carpets. In particular one area which needed an extensive clean. Although she'd tried to clean it herself it was a bit smelly and discolored.

Here's the method I use. I treat the area with a product called Urine Neutralizer. This comes in a spray format. I let this soak in and as its perfumed it immediately goes to work on the smell. After this has soaked in I will spray and extract the area with general carpet cleaning products. Then I will repeat the process with the neutralizer until I'm happy I have got rid of the problem.

If you in your home have any problems with your pets its important that you soak up with cloths or kitchen role as soon as you are aware of the problem. Carpets can end up getting discolored if the problems is not treated.

I would recommend everyone with a pet should have some of this urine neutralizer in their cupboard, just in case an accident happens, to keep your home at its best.

Red Lipstick on a Beige Carpet

I was asked by a lady from Standish near Wigan to clean a stain that her dog had caused. It had got hold of her red lipstick and chewed it and it had ended up on her bright beige carpet.
The method I have used in the past might help if anything like this happens to you.
Brush away any excess, or scrape off with a butter knife so you are just left with the stain. Wet the area with water and use some white (not colored) shaving foam. Scrub the foam into the stain from the outside in, making sure not to make the stain bigger.
Blot up with clear white cloths or kitchen towel. Repeat until you are happy that the stain has been removed. There are no guarantees but if you get at the stain as soon as possible you stand a good chance.
A professional carpet cleaner would also use spray extraction to make sure the area is as clean as it can be.
